Glossary - DDT (an acronym of Dichloro Diphenyl Trichloroethane)

DDT is a pesticide which, towards the end of the 20th century, had a worldwide ban placed on its use. DDT is both toxic and is classed as a POP, or Persistent Organic Pollutant.
