Glossary - Dioxin

Dioxin is a shortened term referring to polychlorinated dibenzodioxons – organic compounds immune to degrading naturally in the environment. Dioxins are present in many locations – the atmosphere, in rivers and in food - and are thought of as one of the most toxic organic pollutants of all.
