Fluorocarbons comprise solely of fluorine and carbon in compounded form. At one time, fluorocarbons were used in aerosol cans, but their use nowadays is generally confined to industrial activity. Where chorine is present, the compounds are known as chlorofluorocarbons- better known as CFCs.
