Glossary - Intercropping

Intercropping takes place when multiple crops are grown in the same area simultaneously, and is a practice linked to ideas of organic farming and/or agricultural sustainability. One of the benefits of intercropping is that it acts as a stimulus for biodiversity – more so than would occur from a single crop form.
