Glossary - Photochemical Smog

Photochemical smog is a particular smog form created when the sun’s rays come into contact with air pollutants – the resultant chemical combination carrying great potential risk, primarily to the respiratory system. Such smog is a feature of every major city, especially those where it is frequently hot, and where there is a dense car population.
