Digital Soil Respirometer, Gas Flow Meter
Challenge Technology has dedicated over 18 years of experience to providing the best equipment to environmental engineering professionals. The patented “FlowCell,” at the heart of the original Challenge AER-200 Research Respirometer, was developed by Mark Kuss, the President of Challenge Technology, and patented in conjunction with the University of Arkansas in 1990.
This unique respirometer established the foundation of Challenge Technology and set the industry standard with both anaerobic and aerobic capabilities. Wastewater / Compost Testing
The AER-200 Research Respirometer comes standard with 8 reactors and the system can be easily expanded to either 16 or 24 reactors depending on your needs. It measures both aerobic and anaerobic processes and comes with everything you need including standard glassware. All you supply is a standard computer to run the supplied software and an oxygen supply for aerobic studies.
The system is complete with an 8 position magnetic stirring base for great mixing and we recommend the optional stainless steel water bath and temperature control unit for maximum accuracy. This same system can be used for soil and compost testing with the use of our uniquely designed soil/compost columns in place of standard reactors.
Digital Soil Respirometer
The QuickScan BOD Analyzer - Leading the field, Challenge Technology is the first to develop new respirometric technology, the QuickScan BOD Analyzer, a fully digital respirometer, first showcased at WEFTEC 2006. The QuickScan is designed to meet the need for a lower cost instrument to serve everyone from researchers to treatment plant operators.
QuickScan comes with 4 reactors, supply kit including standard glassware and a 4 position magnetic stirring base. This simple to use small footprint respirometer is ideal for toxicity screening and short term BOD assessment. This same system can be used for soil and compost testing with the use of our uniquely designed soil/compost columns in place of standard reactors.
Oxygen Uptake Rate: Wastewater
At WEFTEC 2008 in Chicago, Challenge Technology introduced the latest in on-line monitoring.
The ODM-100 Oxygen Demand Monitor, an Oxygen Uptake Rate (OUR) monitoring system for your wastewater treatment plant. This rail-mounted, fully enclosed, SKADA ready system sets the standard for real-time oxygen uptake monitoring in continuous, batch or sequential batch modes. ODM-100 is supplied with the submersible sewage pump to drop in at any point along the treatment process to allow real time data at any given point.
Gas Flow Meter
